A leading prestige beauty brand whose packaging relies on blister packs, a format with limited high-recycled-content rPET film at scale. In 2023, only 12% of rPET film used contained 80% PCR; the rest was 0–40% PCR. The client wanted a meaningful shift without disrupting the precision tolerances blister forming demands.

The Approach

Truvant's materials and engineering teams identified, qualified, and transitioned to a commercially viable 80%-PCR rPET film, testing across three dimensions: forming behavior on existing tooling, seal integrity, and optical clarity. Production was then transitioned systematically with full continuity of supply.

What changed

80%-PCR film grew from 1.35 tonnes (2023) to 13.3 tonnes (2024). Film with 0–40% PCR fell from 88% of consumption to effectively zero — within a single calendar year, with no production disruptions and no quality events.
