Truvant and Syntegon Become Partners in Sustainability

The two companies enter a long-term collaboration agreement for sustainable packaging solutions.

We are pleased to announce that we have established a long-term collaboration agreement with Syntegon, a global process and packaging technology provider. Addressing the continued demand for sustainable packaging from renewable resources, the two companies will offer brand owners an innovative, ready-to-market solution that allows Truvant’s customers to quickly transition from plastic to sustainable paper-based packaging for their products. To support its customers, Truvant will install a new, state-of-the-art Syntegon TPU 1000 form, fill, and seal packaging line that utilizes 100% paper-based materials at its world-class production facility in Strykow Poland.

“By combining our manufacturing and package development knowledge with Syntegon’s machinery and automation expertise, we were able to create an end-to-end solution for our customers — from designing the initial packaging and choosing the right materials to delivering the finished product. In addition to the advantages of collaborating with our experts throughout the packaging development process, customers can expect shorter time-to-market and increased efficiency, all while meeting their sustainability objectives.”

said Cédric Welterlin, Vice President of Business Development at Truvant.
innovation in packaging

This first of its kind, highly automated packaging line processes particularly stretchable and moldable paper, allowing for up to ten times deeper embossing than regular paper which gives brands a multitude of sustainable alternatives to plastic packaging. Whether for batteries, toothbrushes, cosmetics, or a multitude of other consumer products, the TPU 1000 creates unique 3D blisters, pods, or trays using fully recyclable paper which significantly reduces waste as well as the ecological footprint associated with plastic packaging.

Truvant and Syntegon are committed to providing consumer brands with reliable and innovative paper packaging concepts to minimize their ecological impact. The common goal is to give brands the ability to quickly test, implement, and bring to market sustainable packaging concepts using Syntegon’s unique paper forming technology at Truvant.

The TPU 1000 has been honored with the German Packaging Award for sustainability from the German Packaging Institute (Deutsches Verpackungsinstitut e.V.). With its versatile paper forming capabilities, this technology offers an outstanding alternative to plastic that brand owners can use to enhance the sustainability of their products.

Syntegon Technology is a leading global process and packaging technology provider. The company, headquartered in Waiblingen Germany, has provided complete solutions for the pharmaceutical and food industries for over 50 years. Syntegen currently has 30 locations in more than 15 countries and employs over 6,000 individuals.
